General Ledger Module
At the heart of the Inquiry Suite is the General Ledger module,
which ties together all the financial homebuilder information. The real
time nature of the product means that the information is always accurate
and up to date. This is particularly important at the month or year end
when new journals are being added all the time and adjustments are being
made. All our customers testify to the invaluable nature of the tool in
saving time at month end as well as being an excellent audit and
integrity tool for SOX compliance.
Data can be consolidated at
incredible speeds to provide high level management information or
organized into real time hierarchies to provide structured management
reports, such as profit and loss, or balance sheet reports. These can
then be augmented by including key calculations, formatting and a whole
range of other essential reporting features.
Access is provided to
Object and Business Unit category codes together with information from
any of the sub ledger master files. Reports are unrestricted by size, as
the system can handle huge volumes of information, with the ability to
select across multiple periods, years, ledger types, etc. Once
completed, reports can be published to end users for viewing in the ‘Executive Console’ which, like the Inquiry Suite, completely
respects JD Edwards security, to ensure that users only get access to
information they are allowed to view.
